Filing Period Closed for November Board Election
The window to file to run for a seat on the RISD Board of Trustees in the November 5 election has closed. Seven RISD citizens have filed to run for seats in Board Districts 2, 4 and 5.

The RISD Board is transitioning to a new system of electing trustees. Voters residing in different geographic areas of RISD known as Board Districts will be able to cast a vote for candidates running within that Board District. There are five Board Districts that will each elect a trustee and two “At Large” trustees who will be elected by all RISD voters.

Board District 3 and At Large Place 6 will be up for election in May 2020, and Board District 1 and At Large Place 7 will be up for election in May 2021.
